Played really well. Good luck to him in his recovery.

What platitudes would the media have showered down on the team winning that way had that team been a media favourite ESL invitee rather than uppity West Ham?

Our last minute draw and win reminded me of Man U before they started losing on penalties. 😂🤣😂

Fuck it, we are playing with the hand that Sullivan dealt us which of course is utterly shocking but I am not going to whine about the way we won.

How nice is it to inflict maximum agony on a team by scoring in the 93rd minute then in injury time at the end of extra time?

It's probably the first time I have ever seen us be on the right end of a result like that.

Yeah I noticed the that too Surface. Although some of the players looked like they had just eaten a red hot vindaloo before the game and it was trapped wind the way they were ambling around ;-)

Sir Alf

You are right about the pitch.

Also, our boys seemed to struggle mightily with the concept of 'wind'.

If I was manager of Kidderminster I'd be asking my players that if you are capable of playing like that why do you cheat me with half hearted shit every other week?
And you lot that filled the ground .... see you for our next match you glory hunting cunts.

Does that include Robert Plant?

I reckon Kiddy made sure their pitch was as bumpy as possible. Don't blame them its exactly what you do to undermine the opposition's game. Our pampered lads though, who are used to playing on a velvet carpet every week, suffered with that more than anything I thought. Sure it was the same for them but our tactic of trying to get in behind them by passing around and through them was doomed from the start. The ball was bobbling up all over the show and reminded me of pitches I played on back in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Well the Sunday games at least :-)

Throw in the fact that their was a small, tight ground and they were drilled to work their nuts off with 10 behind the ball but deny us space through pressing. Then you would have to say, their manager tactically out thought the Moyesiah by some distance. We would have been better going direct to a target man .... oh wait... I forgot we only have one striker who is like that... actually we only have one striker !

So tactically we couldnt change it and we thought we would eventually find a way through but that took bringing on someone who actually ran at their defence and create openings.

Going to have to be at least 5 or 6 new players in the squad if we are not to tread water or worse still slip back for next season.

Leicester would happily swap places with us.

Rice won us that through sheer determination and footballing ability, had to feel sorry for Kidderminster in the nature of the defeat but they can be proud of their performance.

It does happen that players make the step-up late on in their careers.

Preston's a year older than Jamie Vardy was when he played his last game for a non-league club.

It just doesn't happen very often.

gph - agree yes, its very unlikely we'll be signing him any time soon, he may step up a division or two, that's it

Are people seriously suggesting we sign a 26 year old failed league footballer off the back of the game of his life where all he had to do was head the ball against a team playing without a striker?

"Preston's performance yesterday was bloody magnificent."

hes playing a kiddie for a reason. And he's 26. Raised his game no end but lets see him on a Tuesday night playing against Alfreton Town

How shit is Oxoflex when Yarmolenko plays 120 like that, and he still doesn’t get on.
